One of the best things about bike polo is the range of ways you can play it and of course the range of things you can play with. People from different areas seem to play with all sorts of combinations of equipment.
At our first meet we played with old golf clubs bought from charity shops. By our second or third meet we were playing with broom sticks with lumps of wood screwed onto the end. Recently we have followed American footsteps and we are using graphite ski polls with hardened gas piping as the head and bar tape for the handle. These seem to be the best combination of light weight and strength
